Welcome to Cheshire Pet Dentistry! We are a new pet dental service partnering up with Coit Animal Clinic, located conveniently at the same location.
We know many pet owners cannot afford extensive yearly dental cleanings for their pets. We want to offer this procedure in the safest and most affordable way possible.
We offer services such as general dental surgery, ultrasonic cleaning and extractions. Our team of experienced veterinarians and staff are here to provide you and your pet with the care they deserve.
Most cats and dogs under 10 years of age qualify for this flat rate pricing.
A head to tail exam before admitting for surgery. There will be opportunities to address concerns and ask the vet questions.
Your pet will be placed under general anesthesia and monitored closely. A full oral exam will be performed and teeth found to be loose or fractured will be extracted after oral blocks have been performed. All extractions deemed necessary are included in the flat fee pricing. All remaining teeth will be ultrasonically cleaned and polished.
If your pet needs any medications, they are included in the pricing of the dental. This could include pain medication and antibiotics.
All pets undergoing anesthesia will have their nails trimmed while they sleep!
Pets over 10 years of age will be recommended to have bloodwork and an IV catheter placed.
Blood will be drawn in the morning before your pet's procedure. Bloodwork will screen for problems with kidneys, liver, or electrolytes that could affect the safety of anesthesia or the medications your pet may be prescribed.
Prior to anesthesia, your pet will have an IV catheter placed and fluids will be given during the procedure. This helps with blood pressure and kidney health.
We offer these other services at the time of your pet's dental. This list is not comprehensive so please ask us if we can accommodate your needs further!
If your pet is due for vaccines, let us know if you would like us to offer these during your pet's dental.
If you would like your pet to be microchipped, we can place one while they are under anesthesia to make it pain free.
If your pet needs an area trimmed and cleaned, please let us know!
A special gel is applied after the dental cleaning to help keep tartar at bay longer, extending the benefits of the procedure.
If your pet is having ear issues, we can perform an ear exam and cytology to determine treatment.
We can remove small lumps from your pet's skin while they are under anesthesia for their dental cleaning. The most common types are skin tags and adenomas (gland tumor of the skin).
If your pet has a new lump larger than 1 cm, a fine needle aspirate can be performed to see if removal is needed.
